biophysical plant physiology; plant stress physiology, ecophysiology of photosynthesis; biochemical/mathematical models in photosynthesis; impact studies; global change; impact of radiation regime (diffuse/direct radiation, spectral composition, dynamic light environment); impacts of elevated CO2 concentration and UV radiation; manipulative experiments; plant environmental metabolomics; ozone and volatile organic compound fluxes; CH4 and N2O emissions; stable isotopes (C13, N15, O18) in terrestrial ecosystems
